Legrand announced that audio industry veteran Walt Zerbe will re-join the company as product manager, beginning April 23.
The announcement was made by Fritz Werder, vice president and general manager of the Legrand brand of Home Systems.
“Walt boasts a long list of well-deserved accomplishments and accolades, and we’re extremely excited to welcome him back into the Legrand family as a valuable addition to our outstanding product management team,” Werder said. “We’re really looking forward to the contributions he’ll make to Legrand’s dynamic line of audio and entertainment products.”
Zerbe will be responsible for the implementation of new audio and entertainment products that speak to the needs of today’s consumers, the company says, with equal focus on innovation and real-world applications. He will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Middletown, PA.
“With audio consumption on the rise and digital communications now a part of our daily existence, Legrand is in the ideal position to build products that support these growth areas,” said Zerbe. “I’m thrilled to be part of such a forward-thinking company.”
Zerbe’s appointment marks a return to Legrand, where he was a product manager before leaving in 2007 to explore new opportunities with Russound. He is the recipient of several industry awards for his creative design and commitment to customer satisfaction – including the 2012 CES TechHome Leadership Award – and chairs several industry groups.
