Wilson Achieves FCC Certification for Consumer Cellular Signal Boosters

Wilson Electronics' AG Pro Quint indoor cellular signal booster has achieved Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification and is now available for purchase, the company revealed.

Wilson Electronics’ AG Pro Quint indoor cellular signal booster has achieved Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification and is now available for purchase, the company revealed.

In addition, Wilson has achieved Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification for three new 4G cellular signal boosters designed for the custom integrator market.

The AG Pro Quint is the first signal booster certified to meet the FCC’s new technical standards, according to Wilson. It enhances 4G as well as earlier-generation signals for all major U.S. cellular carriers networks. This five-band signal booster supports LTE and other cellular technologies to provide reliable cellular coverage in indoor areas such as homes and offices.

The new Custom Installer Series (CIS) line of signal boosters — the CI 560, CI 565 and CI 570 — enhance 4G as well as earlier-generation cell signals for all major U.S. carriers¹ networks. The CI booster series will only be available at the retail level from organizations active in this industry channel.

Every CIS booster is sold as a complete system, which includes everything needed to complete an installation. Expansion options are also available to cover larger indoor areas. The CIS boosters operate at the maximum allowable power under the new FCC guidelines.

“Receiving the FCC certification to the new network protection standards is a significant achievement for everyone at Wilson Electronics, and affirms our position as the industry and market leader,” said Robert Van Buskirk, president and CEO of Wilson Electronics. “We’re dedicated to
providing the best quality and performance in signal booster product solutions, to enable cellular users to use their mobile devices where and when they need it.”

The AG Pro Quint features the FCC maximum-allowed 70dB gain, and supports simultaneous connection by multiple cellular devices. Gain, or signal enhancement level, can be separately controlled on each of the five frequency bands. This allows for greater flexibility in the placement of antennas, and simplifies installation.
