Advance Paris Announces Flagship NOVA Range

Consists of a flagship series of five integrated products that represent the brand’s most advanced and versatile product line to date.

French audio brand Advance Paris has announced NOVA, a flagship series of five integrated products that represent the brand’s most advanced and versatile product line to date. Combining amplification, streaming, wireless connectivity, and rotary remote control, NOVA delivers a unified audio system that captures Advance Paris’ distinct blend of style, connectivity, and performance.

First previewed at High End Munich 2025, NOVA is designed to function as a modular, interconnected system. The range consists of two integrated amplifiers that serve as the home audio hub with optional add-ons including a next-generation network streaming cartridge, a bidirectional Bluetooth dongle, and a rotary remote.

Advance Paris A-i130 integrated amplifier - front

A-i130 and A-i190 Integrated Amplifiers

The A-i130 (130 watts per channel) and A-i190 (190 watts per channel) integrated amplifiers are at the heart of the NOVA range, handling not just amplification but stereo signal processing and multi-subwoofer capabilities in a single chassis. Available in black or silver finish, they feature brushed aluminum front panels and retro-illuminated VU meters with selectable backlighting in either Advance’s signature blue or a clean, contemporary white. The preamplification stage features vacuum tubes, another signature design element that provides subtle harmonic warmth while their glow remains visible through the front panel.

Both amplifiers are built around an ESS9017 DAC in Quad mode and include a fully configurable DSP with EQ control across four channels: left speaker, right speaker, subwoofer 1, and subwoofer 2. A configurable crossover manages signal routing between speaker and subwoofer outputs, and both models feature a dedicated power supply for the DAC and analog circuitry. Additional features include HDMI eARC, EQ Room Correction, three optical inputs and one coaxial digital input, USB audio with DSD support, a 6.35mm headphone output, and MM phono with grounding terminal.

The primary difference between the two models is that the A-i190 uses a dual-mono configuration, with two separate toroidal transformers — one per channel. This approach is more commonly found in dedicated power amplifiers, providing greater channel separation and additional power output compared to the A-i130. The A-i190 also adds XLR inputs and pre-out, 2 coaxial digital inputs and an MC phono stage.

Both amplifiers include an expansion cartridge slot for the A-NTC and A-BTC accessories and support the A-RTR rotary remote when used in conjunction with the A-BTC.

A-NTC Streaming Cartridge

Advance Paris A-NTC Streaming Cartridge

As a standalone streamer, the A-NTC can be connected directly to the optical input of any compatible device, instantly adding high resolution streaming and modern convenience to existing systems. When installed in the A-i130 or A-i190’s expansion cartridge slot, it turns either amplifier into a fully connected system without adding another box to the rack.

The A-NTC is powered via USB, outputting audio at up to 24-bit/192 kHz. It supports Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, DLNA, and Roon, and also connects via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

A-BTC Bi-Directional Bluetooth Dongle

The A-BTC is a bi-directional Bluetooth 5.4 dongle that slots into the same expansion cartridge port as the A-NTC. It supports aptX HD, aptX AD, aptX LL, and AAC codecs, and can send audio to a single pair of Bluetooth headphones. The aptX LL codec minimizes latency for excellent lip-sync when watching video, while aptX AD and aptX HD ensure high-quality wireless audio. The A-BTC also provides the wireless connection required for the A-RTR remote to communicate with the amplifier.

Advance Paris A-RTR Rotary Remote

A-RTR Rotary Remote

The optional A-RTR is a weighty metal rotary remote that sits on a coffee table or listening surface rather than being handheld. Its rotating crown controls volume, input selection, and power for the A-i130 and A-i190, wirelessly via the A-BTC. For listeners who appreciate a tactile, analog “knob feel” experience over a phone app or standard infrared remote, it offers a practical and satisfying alternative that perfectly complements the aesthetic of the amplifiers.
