Emotiva Audio Corporation is shipping the BasX TA2+ preamp/DAC/tuner with integrated amplifier. The BasX TA2+ (SRP: $1299) is an update of the BasX TA2 integrated amplifier. The new version, available in early March, is designed to be the heart of a 2-channel or 2.1 system. Its potent analog preamp stage, high-current Class A/B power, and expanded connectivity combine to give music lovers the power to enjoy myriad sources with sonics that rival integrated amplifiers costing more.
The new-generation TA2+ builds on the flexibility of the original with the addition of balanced XLR analog inputs and outputs, a balanced subwoofer output, HDMI ARC for TV integration, USB-C for current computers and many portable devices, and full analog bass management for a precise 2.1 soundstage.
In addition, there are three pairs of unbalanced RCA stereo analog line level inputs, one pair of balanced XLR stereo analog line level inputs, and one pair of stereo phono inputs, switchable between moving coil and moving magnet. Digital inputs include one digital coax (S/PDIF), two digital optical Toslink stereo, one Bluetooth receiver, and one HDMI ARC input.
