MSE Audio has announced the lossless SoundTube RS1201i-SuperT subwoofer, which is available in black and white and is designed for use in an open-ceiling or can be surface-mounted into the ceiling to produce low frequencies to the surrounding listening area. According to MSE Audio, the RS1201i SuperT uses a non-traditional 70/100v technology that improves subwoofer performance. Without the losses in sensitivity and low-end frequency response due to typical transformer behavior, the RS1201i SuperT delivers impactful full range bass. The 12-inch SuperT is perfect for use in any installation where the music is played louder than typical background music and additional bass is needed such as bars, nightclubs, retail, and hotels with large open ceiling areas.
Using a 12-inch treated fiber cone woofer with a treated cloth surround in a tuned and ported enclosure, it provides an independently verified 32 Hz–100 Hz ± 10 dB low frequency response. Mounting hardware includes UL-listed cables and integrated SpeedClamp self-locking wire clamp for fast and secure installation. For easy ordering, stocking and installation, the RS1201i includes a two-position tap switch for 70.7volt-, 100-volt, and 4-ohm applications. Accessories include a euroblock connector, hanging hardware, safety cable, and terminal weather boot. An optional surface mount bracket is also available.
