SVS Launches 3000 Micro R|Evolution Compact Subwoofer

Features dual-opposing, force-balanced active 9-inch drivers, a 1200-watt Continuous MOSFET amplifier, and a 295 MHz DSP enclosed in a compact 11-inch sealed cabinet design.

SVS has announced the 3000 Micro R|Evolution subwoofer. Building on the company’s flagship subwoofer technology, SVS 3000 Micro R|Evolution marries exclusive driver design, the SVS R|Evolution amplifier platform, and unrivaled DSP power to deliver performance that outclasses larger models.

SVS 3000 Micro R|Evolution subwoofer

The beating heart of the 3000 Micro R|Evolution is a pair of active, side-firing 9-inch high-excursion drivers custom-built by the SVS design team to maximize output from a small enclosure. The drivers operate in perfect unison, acoustically and electrically in parallel, to generate effortless, controlled low frequencies.

By firing in opposite directions, mechanical forces are canceled, creating a sonically inert cabinet and eliminating unwanted vibration, one of the biggest limitations of compact subwoofers. Each high-excursion active 9-inch driver employs a progressive inverted surround to ensure maximum linear displacement.

Power with Precision

Conservatively rated at 1200 watts Continuous and 4000+ watts Peak power, the SVS R|Evolution amplifier maximizes the full potential of the dual 9-inch active drivers. The design combines the efficiency of a Class D amplifier with the ability to move massive current through fully discrete MOSFETs.

A performance-enhancing SVS Switch Mode Power Supply maximizes system performance under all operating conditions by ensuring a consistent 160V rail voltage for the amplifier. Digital monitoring of the AC input mains voltage tunes the power supply for optimal performance in any environment. The 56-bit digital audio processing and premium DACs provide greater headroom, the low distortion, and flawless fidelity.

295 MHz Analog Devices DSP

DSP plays a major role in all aspects of performance, user control, tuning, and in making the 3000 Micro R|Evolution subwoofer sound bigger than it is. SVS engineers crafted an in-room frequency response curve that fully maximizes the potential of a room’s boundaries to produce greater output and deeper bass extension, without distortion or boominess. SVS refers to this as acoustically tuned room gain.

Additionally, the 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP monitors every function of the amplifier, stabilizing AC voltage delivery to the power supply and maintaining consistent peak output. Multi-point thermal, voltage, and current monitoring systems ensure maximum output and efficiency, while advanced DACs with 120 dB signal-to-noise Ratio provide greater headroom, lower noise, and pristine fidelity.

Calibration and control are managed via the SVS Subwoofer Control Smartphone App. Users can adjust volume, low-pass filter, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, and up to six parametric EQ bands, with three onboard memory presets for fast system adjustments.

Balanced XLR inputs, in addition to unbalanced RCA connections, allow integration into both consumer and pro audio systems.

Sealed Cabinet Design

The 3000 Micro R|Evolution features extra-thick MDF side baffles and rigid internal bracing to support the active dual-driver assembly and to ensure an acoustically inert environment. The reinforced internal design eliminates any chance of coloration or resonance from the cabinet, even when the deepest low frequencies are played at high volume. SVS opted against using a passive-radiator driver design deployed in many micro subwoofers because of its bloated, one-note bass output.

The SVS 3000 Micro R|Evolution subwoofer is debuting at AXPONA 2026, with availability on SVSound.com and through authorized dealers to follow. Pricing is $999.99.

The Piano Gloss Black finish is available immediately. Piano Gloss White is available now for pre-order with an expected shipping date of April 30.
