Elite Screens‘ division of dedicated custom installer products, Elite PrimeVision (EPV), debuted at CEDIA EXPO 2012. Elite Screens also introduced its subsidiary company, AirFlex5D, with its line of projector stacking processors.
Elite Prime Vision products include 3 different categories: fixed frame, electric wall-ceiling, and motorized free-standing.
The AcousticPro-4K has a 1.1 gain ultra-white front projection surface that provides color neutrality for color reproduction along with wide diffusion uniformity. The angular weave is designed to handle 4K (4096×2160) and 1080P (1920×1080) projectors while eliminating the visual artifact known as moiré effect. The dense mesh of the material with its ultra-fine perforations creates a projection canvas that almost identically resembles Elite’s CineWhite material, the company says.
Elite’s tension-tabbed screens are also available in various aspect ratios and screen materials. For in-ceiling applications, the Aerie Tension, is the Plenum-rated integrated projection screen that is fully compatible with home and commercial automation systems. For regular installations on walls or ceilings, EPV will be introducing its PowerMax Tension Series. This electric roll-up screen combines aesthetics with functionality and offers Elite’s 1.1 gain CineWhite tension material with IR,RF and Ethernet control package.
The final category is EPV’s motorized free-standing screens. These are ideal for non-invasive installations where wall or ceiling applications are not practical. To answer the call for this specific niche, Elite has the Merlin Pro electric floor screen and the fully integrated Merlin Tension “in-furniture” projection screens.
The Airflex5D is a 2D/3D projector stacking system that gives precise digital alignment of images from multiple projectors vertically and horizontally into one single picture with amplified brightness. It accommodates up to a 1920 x 1200 resolution projector with dual-channel geometric image correction & support de-interlacing, scaling and image enhancement. This allows Custom Integrators to create a high-performance image similar to that of high-dollar 12000-30000 Lumen 1080p projectors at a fraction of the cost.
