By RS Staff Published: August 18, 2016 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 Key Digital (Booth 2515) will showcase its newest UHD/4K HDBaseT/HDMI matrix switchers, the KD-Pro6x6CC and KD-Pro8x8CC, at CEDIA 2016 in Dallas, TX. These switchers offer full buffering of HDCP and EDID, for seamless switching and viewing of any source/input to any display/output, regardless of multiple output viewing relation. The KD-Pro8x8CC and KD-Pro6x6CC offer eight and six HDBaseT (Cat-5e/6 RJ45) outputs, and eight and six HDMI outputs with fully-automatic Cat-5e/6 cable equalization, respectively. They support up to 16 and 12 TVs (eight and six mirrored) respectively, which can be connected via Cat-5e/6 RJ45 HDBaseT outputs. Displays may also be connected using the HDMI outputs. These HDBaseT matrix switchers allow extension of 1080p at 60Hz, 1080p at 24Hz, 1080i, 720p up to 210 feet, and UHD/4K signal extension up to 120 feet with KD-XSWRX extenders (included) and approved Key Digital Cat-5e/6 cabling. Key Digital’s Compass Control automation system is built in, negating the need for an external master controller (it can support up to 33 control ports). The KD-Pro8x8CC and KD-Pro6x6CC switchers provide 3840×2160/30Hz/24Hz video resolution support for UHD/4K-capable televisions and commercial applications, such as digital movie theaters, CAD, post-production, and graphics.
