Yamaha RX-V381 AV Receiver Brings Cinema Experience with Expanded 4K Compatibility

Yamaha recently introduced the RX-V381 5.1-channel AV receiver with built-in Bluetooth for wireless music playback and 4K Ultra HD support.

Yamaha recently introduced the RX-V381 5.1-channel AV receiver with built-in Bluetooth for wireless music playback and 4K Ultra HD support.

This model is the first in the company’s RX-V 81 Series AV receiver line. The receiver is HDCP 2.2 compliant (4 in/1 out) and features high dynamic range (HDR) with BT.2020 compatibility.

 “Sound editors and soundtrack composers each play huge roles in today’s feature films, and the RX-V381 allows our customers to enjoy these titles as they would in the movie theater, in all their cinematic glory,” said Bob Goedken, general manager, AV division, Yamaha Corporation of America. “Yamaha has packed a lot of advanced technology into a very affordable, solidly-built AV receiver, with an unparalleled level of reliability that assures our customers that they will enjoy this model far into the future.”

The RX-V381 also features a 4K Ultra HD video pass-through via HDMI 2.0 4K/60p 4:4:4 (4 inputs/1 output) for watching content in this high resolution formats. For the users who have their music library on a mobile device, the RX-V381 features Bluetooth with Compressed Music Enhancer, which enables wireless music playback with superb sound quality. The AV receiver also features the Yamaha exclusive YPAO automatic calibration system, which uses a microphone to listen and analyze the sound of each speaker, then tunes the sound system to create the best possible listening experience in differing types of rooms.
