SnapAV Introduces New Episode 'Mini' Compact Amplifiers

By RS Staff November 7,2013

SnapAV, a manufacturer of solutions for the residential and commercial channels, is now shipping its new line-up of compact, space-saving digital Mini Amplifiers.

SnapAV worked closely with custom installers during the development of these products to address common installation challenges.

“Dealers told us about the struggles of upselling audio in bedrooms and other secondary applications. Their customers don’t necessarily want a bulky AV receiver in their bedroom. These new amps solve that problem,” said Mike Jordan, vice president of Episode products for SnapAV.

Jordan cites the ability to control the mini amps via discrete IR codes for all functions, and the presence of multiple audio inputs with programmable priority as two examples of features SnapAV’s dealers asked for. Measuring just 5.5-inch high and 7-inch deep, the mini amps offer two (EA-MINI-2D-35) and three channel (EA-MINI-3D-35) models at 35W per channel each, and retail for $249.95 and $299.95 respectively.

“With SmartTVs, AppleTVs and other connected devices, dealers are seeing more local sources in the room. Pairing a compact mini amp along with our new Strong VersaBox to keep them all in will make behind-the-TV installs easier than ever.”

The EA-MINI-3D-35 was named a Best New Product finalist in CEDIA’s Manufacturer’s Excellence Awards earlier this summer, and was showcased in SnapAV’s booth at CEDIA Expo in September.
