Lutron Settles Patent Complaint

Coopersburg, PA — Lutron Electronics Co. has settled its International Trade Commission complaint against Universal Smart Enterprises Corporation (“USE”). As part of the settlement, USE has agreed to remove from the U.S. all existing inventory of the accused products.

The complaint contained allegations that USE dimmers infringed two Lutron patents and a Lutron configuration trademark relating to Lutron’s lighting control products.

USE also agreed to the entry of a consent order that it would not import or sell any of the accused products within the U.S.
