Indianapolis, IN–At its Thursday morning press conference at CEDIA EXPO, Boston Acoustics introduced its P400 High Performance Slim Theater Speaker, a three-channel solution delivering surround sound for left, center and right channels from a single chassis.
Designed to complement a 42-inch plasma or LCD television or monitor, DLP rear-projection console, or traditional screen, the P400 can be wall-mounted below or above a display, set on top of the display with a supplied foot, or on a table or credenza with optional stand. It can even be set up to share a swivel bracket with a plasma TV so that all three channels of the front sound stage pivot with the TV.
The P400 also serves as the flagship loudspeaker for Boston Acoustics equally versatile new P4 Series Speakers, also being introduced at CEDIA.
The P400, with a black or silver grille, will be available in September from authorized Boston Acoustics dealers at a suggested price of $1,500 each. It can be seen with Boston Acoustics other products in Booth 630.
