Atlona Technologies announced plans to release the AT-HD530, its new down-converter. The unit sends HDMI or DVI digital signals from desired sources such as PCs, Macs, GPS systems, Apple TVs, camcorders, or video games, and down-converts the signal to analog S-video or composite video with audio.

The device converts high-definition television video signals to standard-definition video that can be viewed on conventional television receivers or computer monitors for all users.

Along with a featured HDMI/DVI loop-out, this converter has the ability to support resolutions of up to 1080p for HDTVs and up to UXGA (1600x1200 at 60Hz) with PC or Mac computers. The unit is also able to automatically detect and down-convert resolutions to those of PAL or NTSC formats. The AT-HD-530 will complement almost all computer applications, as well as applications used by broadcasters, video production engineers, and end users.
