How do you rate Mobile Pro Control App?
Mobile Pro Control App for iPad and iPhone deserves a solid 8 out of 10. The software app runs on iPad, iPhone and Android devices and allows us create a robust two-way interface for total home control for our users. The popularity and convenience of an iPad/iPhone make these devices into a desired interface for home and A/V control. With the Mobile Pro Control App from Crestron, we give our clients the ability to control their Video, Audio, Lighting, Climate, Shades and Security from their favorite media device.
For what types of installations is it best suited?
We find this product to be best suited for the client that already owns an iPad/iPhone and desires to have control of his residence whether in or out of his house. One of our clients desired to be able to control and monitor his residence while traveling. The integration of an iPad into his control system was an easy project and provided him an opportunity to control and monitor his residence no matter where he was. Crestron’s Mobil Pro Control App also allows us to offer our existing clients additional ways to expand control of their units with the devices they already have.
What is one feature of the Mobile Pro Control App that stands out in your projects?
The feature that must be noted is that even though this product allows us to furnish an iPad/iPhone interface, the underlying control system is Crestron. As always with Crestron, the system is rock solid and robust.
What features would you like to see changed or added?
We would like to see enhancements in the VT Pro software (Crestron software that facilitates the design of a user interface) to allow native and automatic rotation support for iPad horizontal and vertical pages. Right now, we have to create logic in our programs to accommodate iPad rotation and we feel this would be better handled in the VT Pro logic.
