In our series of #CEDIAShares blogs, we’re talking with exhibitors about the hottest technologies and trends they’re looking to see at CEDIA Expo 2022.
Why CEDIA Expo 2022?
Every year we look forward to CEDIA Expo because it is the key residential event for home tech professionals. With the COVID pandemic putting the brakes on the show, this is our opportunity to reconnect with the whole community, see dealers, and make new connections. And we’re bringing all of our combined solutions together to show dealers how they can easily create amazing AV experiences in all areas of the home and resimercial applications. —Jackie Haffey, Sr. Channel Marketing Manager, Residential, Legrand | AV
What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
With the variety of solutions we offer, here’s the perspective from each of our brand managers:
“Now that people have worked from home the last two years, they want to see some of the same audio and video technology they enjoyed at home in the workplace. I think we’ll see more solutions that appeal to those trends, but built to tackle the demands for resimercial or light commercial applications.” —Ann Ewoldt, Product Marketing Manager, Chief, Legrand | AV
“Life. Simplified. I think we’ll see tried-and-true solutions that users love and are refined for today’s home but designed to offer a seamless integration experience. For example, our latest innovation, Tensioned Advantage and Advantage with SightLine reimagines the traditional projector screen so that it looks like the screen is floating in the room due to its cable drop feature. Plus, it’s easy to order and easy to install, making it a win-win home theater screen for users and installers.” —Wendy Cox, Director Product Management, Da-Lite, Legrand | AV
“Networking is the central component of the smart home, but residential AV dealers need solutions that are ready to work easily without a degree in IT. Attendees will see how that’s played out in the sophistication of our Epic Mesh, which is integrated with our ProWatch+ remote monitoring and management feature. It’s not only installer-friendly but dependable for 24/7 operation.” —Myles Broadhead, Associate Product Marketing Manager, Luxul, Legrand | AV
“I expect to see more clever rack and dependable power solutions that address the home theater and entertainment areas as the multipurpose entertainment space garners more attention and investment from homeowners. Inside the Legrand | AV booth, dealers will want to be sure to check out NEXSYS, our robust power offering of power distribution and power backup, that helps keep any and all entertainment devices powered up and ready to go.” —Patrick Kittredge, Product Marketing Manager, Middle Atlantic, Legrand | AV
“I’m looking forward to seeing the trends in the home theater as a multi-use space. More and more we’re seeing end-users wanting a hybrid space that doubles as both an area for casual watching and listening and as an area that can deliver an awesome home theater experience. A great example of this trend at work are our SANUS solutions designed for Sonos, including the WSSATM1 Sonos Arc TV mount and new WSSAFM1 Sonos Ray soundbar mount. Paired with our On-Q enclosures to store media devices and wireless equipment, the home theater is better than ever.” —Garrett Humphrey, Product Marketing Specialist, On-Q and SANUS, Legrand | AV
“I think we will see a continued focus on wellness. This includes everything from indoor air quality monitoring to human-centric lighting solutions, such as our LHUMAN system, that integrates home control systems with tunable lighting fixtures and elegant shading solutions so that users can control and replicate the benefits of natural lighting.” —Charlie Derk, Director of Product Marketing, Legrand Shading & Controls, Legrand Building Control Systems
