At Booth 4316, L-Acoustics Creations is bringing the immersive power and performance of its latest residential audio portfolio to CEDIA Expo 2023 with live demonstrations throughout the CEDIA trade event.
The residential audio division of the professional audio pioneer, L-Acoustics, is demonstrating home audio solutions for stereo, multichannel and outdoor in dedicated areas, showcasing how installers can bring professional audio sound experience to customer homes.
“CEDIA Expo 2023 is a pivotal event for our residential division as we expand our partner integrator base globally, and 2023 has been a very busy CEDIA for us already,” said Nick Fichte, Director of Sales at L-Acoustics Creations. “Our residential solutions leverage the vast professional audio expertise of L-Acoustics, faithfully recreating that immersive and engaging ‘live’ experience in and around the home. This offers architects, specifiers and integrators a fresh new approach to the premium residential installation market.”
Headlining L-Acoustic Creations presence is a dedicated Listening Lounge, demonstrating how the company is pushing the boundaries of spatial audio reproduction in the home with a 7.1.4 system of L-Acoustics Creations loudspeakers and amplifiers. Powered by the new 16 channel x 1300W amplified controller, the LA7.16i, the system features the potent X8 coaxial driver loudspeakers for LCR, with surround and height channels using L-Acoustics proven X4i coaxial point source speakers. These incredibly small (116mm x 116mm x 99mm) loudspeakers offer wide axisymmetric dispersion yet can deliver up to 110dB maximum SPL. System bass comes from multiple L-Acoustics Syva 12-inch bass reflex subwoofers.
“With audio decoding from StormAudio, projection from Barco Residential, video processing by madVR with a Stewart Filmscreen screen and content from a Kaleidescape Strato movie server, the Listening Lounge is serving up a memorable immersive audio experience,” added Fichte.
In addition to traditional movie and concert content, L-Acoustics Creations is debuting exclusive content from soundscape provider Odysound highlighting how spatial audio soundscapes can be used to enhance luxury living spaces.
The flagship stereo demonstration area features the recently added Soka colinear source loudspeakers and a pair of SB10r subwoofers, all mounted discreetly in-wall and powered by L-Acoustics LA4X (4 x 1000W) amplified controller. Soka’s colinear source driver technology is derived from L-Acoustics line array expertise to create a compact, high-power, high-SPL (130dB) column loudspeaker for the home. With a baffle of just 1065mm tall x 99mm wide and an installation depth of under 100mm (four inches), Soka can be fixed on-wall or flush-mounted in-wall for the most discreet high-power installations.
Bridging the indoor-outdoor divide, L-Acoustics Creations is also demonstrating the potent Tahiti 2.1 system on its CEDIA booth. Capable of in-home or all-weather use, this premium stereo package features the flagship Syva colinear source loudspeakers, each partnering with a Syva Sub 12-inch bass reflex subwoofer and powered by an LA4X (4 x 1000W) amplified controller. With a maximum SPL in excess of 117dB, Tahiti has been designed to deliver the dynamics of the biggest musical crescendos.
For more modest outdoor audio installations, the demonstration area has also been highlighting the flexibility and IP55 rating of the compact X4i loudspeaker. Partnered with the similarly IP55 rated SB10i subwoofer and powered by a LA2Xi (4 x 640W) amplified controller at the event, the system is designed to deliver open-air audio far beyond traditional garden systems disguised as planters and rocks.
