AMX Creates Residential Dealer Profit Program

AMX has revealed its program to streamline the process of marketing, selling, and installing AMX Residential solutions.

AMX has revealed its program to streamline the process of marketing, selling, and installing AMX Residential solutions.

On the heels of a 2012 state of the industry report that shows the typical dealer saw flat median revenues in 2011, the UNITY program is set to provide a serious spike in sales opportunities.

A key element of the UNITY program provides dealers with free programming and touch panel design, handled by AMX experts. Now dealers can focus their time and efforts on increasing productivity and profitability. Dealers are now able to win more jobs and increase profits by focusing more attention on sales and less on programming.

“At a time when the residential market is facing more competition from out-of-the-box automation systems, AMX is giving dealers an easy way to deliver on every customer’s demands while increasing margins to be competitive,” said Blake Jackson, AMX residential vice president. “Since AMX technology is engineered with the capabilities and flexibility most systems do not have, dealers can offer customers a wider selection of more advanced home automation ideas like daylight harvesting with lighting schedules; iTunes library accessibility in every room; pool pump and heater automation and energy consumption/management – the scope of possibilities will definitely win over homeowners.”

At this time, the UNITY residential program is only available to U.S. AMX dealers. To be eligible, dealers need only purchase an AMX Enova DGX 16 or 32 Digital Media Switcher or HDMI UTPro Matrix Switcher, and any AMX Modero X Series Touch Panel. The free programming and touch panel design that AMX provides covers the following capabilities for up to 32 residential rooms: video distribution, audio distribution, lighting, HVAC, weather, security cameras, pool/spa control and intercom.

“I can tell you it doesn’t take a state of the industry report to know residential dealers are facing a challenging landscape, particularly from price-sensitive customers who want the best in connected multi-media technology and high-end home control,” said Jackson. “We want to show our commitment to the dealers through a program that increases their profitability while enabling them to deliver a truly customized, high-performance whole-home solution.”
