The Troubleshooting CD is designed to helps solve installation problems and performance issues with field-proven troubleshooting techniques. It guides the user through the right questions to ask and actions to take. The user simply selects a category and narrows the focus by selecting the appropriate symptom. Recommended actions and tests are identified to quickly reach a solution to the problem. Both new and seasoned installation technicians in the field will turn to these easy-to-use troubleshooting trees to identify problems.

Resources, tips and techniques are designed to help installers and savvy homeowners identify and resolve problems in many different areas. Categories addressed include: general wiring, audio, video, satellite, home theater, telephone, ground loops, computer network, wireless, home control, and media server. Simple problems addressed include such things as “the music system sounds distorted,” “the remote control doesnt work,” “a new computer cant connect to the Internet,” “sound cuts out when the volume is turned up or the kitchen phone has intermittent static.” The CD comes with five licenses, allowing use in the field on up to five different laptop computers.
