Benicia, CA–NHT has appointed Mary Cardas as its new North American sales manager.
In her new role, Cardas will interface with established NHT distributors, dealers, and sales representatives, while opening new channels of distribution for the company’s series of high-performance loudspeakers, audio/video electronics, and professional audio gear. Additionally, Cardas will aid in developing sales training programs for the brand.
“I can’t think of anybody in this business with a stronger pedigree in specialty audio,” said Andy Regan, senior vice president, sales and marketing, NHT. “Mary is one of those people whose passion for the audio industry stems from her love of music and the fun of working others who share that passion, just like the rest of the team at NHT. Combine that with her commitment to client support, and it’s no wonder we’re thrilled to have her on board.”
Cardas’ audio career began with the company founded by her father, George Cardas. In 1989, she joined Cardas Audio as a managing director. During her time there, she is reported to have grown the company’s sales volume by 65 percent while overseeing expansion of the product line.
From there, Cardas moved to Theta Digital where, as national sales manager, she helped the company evolve into a top-tier supplier of amplifiers, preamplifiers, and processors, designed for discerning end-users. Similarly, she later joined Sunfire to help steward the company to a well-respected position in the audio market. She eventually left the hardware side of the business to join Classic Records.
