Denver, CO–As the residential electronics systems industry continues to evolve, CEDIA EXPO 2006 thrived more than ever with a flurry of education tracks, heaps of new products, and a 20-percent rise in show floor space.
This year’s conference was extended by an additional day to further support exhibitors and give attendees a greater chance to experience the show’s variety of offerings, said Randy Stearns, CEDIA EXPO chair and a board of directors member. “Everyone I’ve talked to has commented favorably about all aspects of the show, whether it’s the quality of products on the show floor, the diverse education tracks, and even how helpful the convention center staff has been,” said Stearns.
The number of exhibitors this year leaped 10 percent over last year. CEDIA University also saw a considerable upswing in registration, with more than 7,000 attendees registered for classes on the first day of the show. This year’s education tracks favored more specific areas. “They definitely catered to career paths,” Stearns said.
The popular 1080p video format stood out amidst a host of new products, as new video displays popped up all over the floor. Stearns commented, “CEDIA works hard to cater to all different areas of technology, and video displays are definitely hot this year.”
CEDIA EXPO will return to the Mile High City, from September 5-9, 2007. “This is a great location for us; a perfect city to cater to our needs,” Stearns added.
