Mobile, AL–CentraLite Systems Elegance and LiteJet System now supports PCS’s Universal Powerline Bus (UPB) devices in both the Elegance and LiteJet Programming Software.
Both CentraLites Elegance and LiteJet Systems combine digital dimming, whole home lighting management and scene lighting with the reliability of a hard-wired system. CentraLite officials further stated that by adding support for UPB, PCSs powerline technology, customers of Centralites lighting control systems can now expand and add-on to their current lighting installations.
“To date, we have avoided supporting powerline technologies, because they are inherently unreliable,” said Jimmy Busby, CTO of CentraLite. “We have chosen to add support for PCS UPB technology to both our Elegance and LiteJet Systems because we have found it to be the only powerline protocol that meets our rigid reliability standards.”

Support for UPB is available now for current CentraLite Elegance and LiteJet System customers with a software upgrade which can be downloaded from CentraLites website free of charge.
