Lutron Goes Hollywood

The manufacturer will auction off an autographed AuroRa package with proceeds to benefit the United Way.

Coopersburg, PA–If you’ve ever wanted to see (or own) the John Hancocks of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities, head to the Lutron booth (#630) at the Electronic House Expo in Orlando this week for your chance to own a little piece of Hollywood. Lutron will be auctioning off an autographed AuroRa package with more than 75 authentic celebrity signatures covering the box.

The silent auction will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13 and will close at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 14. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the United Way. Celebrity autographs include: John Legend, Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman, Dave Matthews, Adrien Grenier, Rex Lee, members of Maroon Five and Collective Soul, Crispin Glover and more. Signatures were collected in Park City, Utah, during a Sundance Film Festival event.

The AuroRa package has a suggested list price of $800. The opening bid is $800.

An AuroRa system is completely retrofittable and installs quickly and easily. Simply replace five existing light switches with five AuroRa dimmers and switches. Then, for remote access of lights, plug in the five-button tabletop master control and clip the wireless controller to a car’s visor. The system’s compact plug-in central antenna and/or the security interface ensure reliable RF communication between all devices and can be placed in a closet or under a bed.

Each of the five master control buttons controls a single dimmer or switch, while the master control’s “All On” and “All Off” buttons control all five dimmers/switches at once. Each dimmer/switch corresponds with a specific master control button, taking the guesswork out of programming the system. The wireless controller turns lights on and off from the car, providing safe entry into a dark house.
