Atlanta, GA–Meridian America, the Atlanta-based subsidiary of British home theater manufacturer Meridian Audio Limited, debuted its new G Series components with a pair of cross-country launch events at two prominent dealers–Audio Advice in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Pro Home Systems in Walnut Creek, California.

Meridian representatives were on hand at both events to introduce visitors to the features and performance of the new G Series, which, with a total of 14 new products, represents the largest launch from Meridian in the past decade.

“Our dealer previews indicate that the G Series is poised to become a big hit,” said Meridian America’s VP of sales, Norman Steinke. “The cool look and feel, the impressive sound and pictures, the functionality and the price-points all appealed to dealers big-time. We’re in no doubt–the line is going to be really successful.”

The G Series components can be used with existing Meridian products such as the 500 Series and the flagship 800 and 861, as well as the company’s signature DSP-based digital loudspeakers, and work as systems on their own.

The new line includes two analog controllers, two CD players, a stereo receiver, two stereo and one 5-channel power amps, two DVD-Audio/Video players and an analog or digital surround controller which is the first in the marketplace to incorporate Dolby’s new Pro Logic IIx technology.
