Panamax/Furman Offers AC Power Training Sessions

Petaluma, CA — Panamax/Furman will be offering power management training sessions at CEDIA EXPO 2009 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The sessions will address the challenges installation designers face in dealing with AC power and its effect on home theater equipment and in determining the correct power management solution for home theater installation.

The first session, “Home Theater Power Management Solutions,” will be presented by Panamax national trainer, Marshall Courier. The session instructs attendees on how to use, integrate, and configure power solutions that include feature-packed battery back-up devices, PM line, voltage regulation products, TCP/IP cards for remote diagnostics, and on-wall and in-wall products. The session will be presented on September 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

In the second session, “AC Power: The Foundation of Every Premium Home Theater System,” Furman senior product designer Garth Powell will discuss common concerns regarding AC power quality when installing premium home theater systems. Discussion topics will include AC protection, filtration of AC line noise, ground isolation, voltage regulation, current compression, and battery backup. A Q&A session will follow. The session will be presented September 11 from 2 p.m to 3:30 p.m.
