Pirch’s SoHo ‘Connected Loft’ Powered by HTSA

Pirch, a luxury store offering 'Kitchen. Bath. Outdoor. Joy,' launched a flagship store Thursday, May 19 in SoHo Manhattan, with HTSA tech and onsite expertise.

Pirch, a luxury store offering ‘Kitchen. Bath. Outdoor. Joy,’ launched a flagship store Thursday, May 19 in the trendy lower section of Manhattan known as SoHo to great fanfare. Thousands of invited guests streamed into the massive 32,000 sq. ft. facility, which was built in a historic former ironworks building that required extensive remodeling.

One dramatic showroom called the “Connected Loft” is a first for the company, as none of its eight other locations around the country have one. The loft is “connected” with an array of technology that iss a visible embodiment of the growing collaboration between Pirch and HTSA.

The first such collaboration took place during the opening of Pirch’s Oakbrook, IL location. HTSA member Joe Barrett of Barrett’s Technology Solutions met with Pirch management and came to be one of Pirch’s “Synergy Partners.” Synergy Partners are third-party companies offering compatible products often needed for installations, but not directly offered by Pirch. Barrett noted that Synergy Partners share in business development efforts with various luxury trades in their respective markets.

Pirch attested that the collaboration in Oakbrook has been successful, and the leadership team of HTSA began interfacing with Pirch management to work out similar arrangements with HTSA members in other complementary Pirch markets. Consequently, with Pirch’s plan for a flagship store in Manhattan, HTSA member Audio Video Systems was brought on as the Synergy Partner for that location.

“We are thrilled with this association with Pirch in this amazing facility,” said Audio Video Systems chief operating officer Franklin Karp. “There is a tremendous and obvious crossover between customers interested in luxury home appliances – with customers of luxury home technology products. It’s really all about mutually enriching the homeowner’s lifestyle.”

Audio Video Systems installed a sophisticate system throughout the loft. The installation includes audio, video, and lighting systems from HTSA suppliers like Sonance, Savant, Seura, and Leon/Media Décor. Audio Video Systems will have a dedicated team to support the Pirch collaboration, including one member on site at all times, ready to respond to Pirch customers with questions about technology enhancements.

HTSA has already secured similar Synergy Partner status for member Audio Visions in association with Pirch locations in California, and with Dallas Sight and Sound for another new Pirch location being built in Austin, TX.

“HTSA really represents the perfect ‘Synergy Partner’ for Pirch, for two reasons,” said Jon Robbins, executive director of Home Technology Specialists of America. “First, we speak to a similar customer who seeks an enhanced home environment, in our case with technology products. Second, thanks to the remarkable consistency of business style and structure of HTSA members, no matter where Pirch opens, the local HTSA member will be the perfect Synergy Partner for them.”

Not only does the association between HTSA and Pirch make sense today, but as appliances continue to add more technology that require a connection to a robust home network, the collaboration will continue to grow.
