Screen Innovations (SI), the two-piece projection brand, has appointed Jim Koenig as director, shading sales and marketing. In this newly created role, he will apply more than 25 years of sales experience as he leads SI’s mission to “recreate the CE industry’s perception of shades,” according to the company.
Koenig experience includes stints with Savant Systems, Core Brands, and most recently Legrand, North America. In his new role at SI, he will guide the sales and marketing strategies for the new Shade Division, which will include multiple sales channels, marketing, communications, PR, and advertising strategies.
SI’s shades line was born from a combination of SI COO Tom Cooley’s extensive experience and the passion of Ryan Gustafson, owner of the company. Between Cooley’s 35 years of window coverings experience and Gustafson’s own real-world frustrations when installing existing shading solutions, the two set out with a clear directive: no more disposable batteries, no ugly dust accumulating fascias, and no more re-work. With the concept now a finished solution, Koenig will steer the shades line along its path to market.
