By RS Staff Published: August 8, 2017 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 SnapAV has become first North American distributor of BenQ’s new 4K LED projector, the HT9050, which is now shipping. “Nobody else delivers a better picture, as far as I’m concerned,” said Andras Balassy, manager of Distributed Products. “It does 18Gbps 4K, it’s got this powerhouse HLD LED engine, plus there’s a huge leap forward from Rec. 709 to the DCI-P3 color standard. From a feature standpoint, I think our dealers will love it.” Driven by a Phillips ColorSpark engine, and operating at 2,200 Lumens, the HT9050 is brighter than conventional LED models and holds DCI-P3 spec color accuracy. It also offers 4K UHD with 8.3 million pixels on the screen for added image quality enhancements. BenQ’s director of North American sales, Russell Barefield, says his company could not be happier with the SnapAV partnership. “I think I speak for everyone on our end when I say that this exclusive deal is just the beginning. We’re very excited to see what comes next.”
