Total Control is now compatible with Deezer through a new, free URC SNP-2 Streaming Network Player two-way module for URC international distributors and dealers. However, it is not currently available in the U.S. due to Deezer's existing agreements.

"We're happy to respond to the clamor of our European customers by adding Deezer to our long, growing list of the most popular music services,” said Cat Toomey, director of marketing at URC. “It will now be available with two-way control using our Total Control with our SNP-2 streaming music player for all our international dealers and customers."

The Total Control smart home automation system by URC aims to offer home and business owners improved ease and efficiency. Featuring the latest technology, it is also scalable: users can begin with a modest system and continue to add features as their needs expand. Home theater, AV components, lighting, HVAC (thermostat), window shades, security cameras, and other items can be integrated into a Total Control system

The streaming service Deezer has gained an extensive following based on its features, including high-quality music, freedom from advertising, unlimited music skips, and access to more than 40 million tracks (though the actual number varies depending on the country of the listener). Now, URC users can access the service via system remotes, keypads, and mobile applications, with special advantages when used with URC’s DMS amplifiers or SNP-2 network music player.

"With URC and Deezer, everyone in the home can listen to their favorite streaming songs and stations with the ultimate in control convenience and simplicity," Toomey said.
