Wagoneer S is the First Fully Electric Jeep Vehicle to Feature McIntosh Audio

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition includes the MX1200 Entertainment System from McIntosh.

McIntosh has announced the arrival of a new segment-exclusive audio system — the MX1200 Entertainment System — available in the Jeep brand’s first global battery-electric vehicle (BEV), the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition, which will launch first in the U.S. and Canada. The new entertainment system represents the first time the brand’s audiophile-caliber luxury sound has been included in an electric vehicle.

McIntosh and the Jeep brand highlighted their new partnership with the launch of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Since then, McIntosh has expanded the availability of its entertainment systems into Wagoneer, Wagoneer L, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer L, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 4xe models.

The entertainment system brings the McIntosh home audio experience to life in the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S interior through state-of-the-art sound and thoughtful design. Featuring McIntosh-patented technology, such as Power Guard to eliminate unpleasant, harmful “clipping,” and LD/HP (Low Distortion/High Performance) technology to produce pristine sound at any volume, the MX1200 promises a high-quality, luxury listening experience – paired with high-end, McIntosh-inspired aesthetics. The MX1200 features illuminated logos on the door’s speaker grille, aluminum framing, industrial ridged control knobs, and the iconic “McIntosh Blue” decibel meters on the Uconnect  5 display screen, mimicking the analog version of a McIntosh amplifier.

MX1200 Entertainment System features include:

  • A 24-channel premium amplifier that sends up to 1200 watts to 19 optimally placed speakers, based on the speakers’ individual needs.
  • Four 6- x 9-inch door speakers.
  • Active coaxial speakers featuring lighter, stronger materials that reduce THD (Total Harmonic Distortion), improve performance and create a more anchored, responsive sound stage.
  • Each coaxial speaker has a 3.5-inch midrange and a 1-inch tweeter with a dedicated amp channel.
  • 12-inch dual voice coil subwoofer.
  • Rear speakers mounted in the liftgate that play low enough to blend perfectly with the subwoofer.

The MX1200 Entertainment System is standard on the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition. The all-new, all-electric vehicle will launch first in the U.S. and Canada in the fall of 2024 and later be available in markets around the world.
