ZON Whole House Digital Audio is now ZON Whole House Digital Media with the debut of a new line of integrated data storage, multi-channel music server, and video player solutions as part of an expansion of their cooperative product development agreement with Home Director Inc.
“These new ZON products represent an expansion of the cooperative development program with Home Director announced last spring, said Lynn McCroskey, Oxmoor CEO. Under the original agreement Oxmoor is developing leading edge audio products for Home Director. The expanded agreement now includes creating for ZON fully integrated media storage solutions, multi-channel audio servers and networked video players to create a seamless Entertainment Connection Point in the home.
Dave Hurley, Home Director Vice President Marketing said ZON Whole House Media Systems address the growing need to create centralized media storage and efficient content management of a large amount of music, videos and photos. This system also continues ZONs popular user interface model of being simple to use yet providing full control of media files.”
The new ZON Entertainment Connection Center uses a dedicated in-wall enclosure designed to sit next to the conventional structured wiring enclosure. The integrator gets an all digital whole house media delivery system while continuing to work with their current partners in structured wiring. The homeowner gets an easy-to-use solution to play music and video, and display photos throughout the home.
