By RS Staff Published: November 23, 2015 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 KanexPro has added the new HDMX44-4K and HDMX88-4K HDMI matrix switchers featuring 4K/60Hz with HDCP2.2 to its lineup. The new HDCP 2.2 matrix switchers with 4K/60Hz are available in combinations of 4×4 and 8×8. The 4×4 HDMI matrix switcher includes four inputs and four outputs with audio de-embedding and the latest HDCP 2.2 specs, and supports video resolutions up to 4096×2160 at 60Hz. The 8×8 version consists of eight inputs and eight outputs with the same specs. The switcher provides switching time of less than 0.2 seconds. The HDMI matrix switchers are designed for commercial applications including military, medical, worship centers, and government audio-video platforms where immediate and dependable HDMI switching and distribution of 4K video is a requirement. These switchers are controlled entirely via RS-232, IR, and web-based GUI using Ethernet, allowing integrators to switch, control, and matrix directly from a touch panel or computer. “These ultra-fast, HDCP 2.2 compliant switchers are the solution for mission-critical needs that require immediate switching and distribution with the highest resolutions,” said Matthew Bute, vice president of sales and marketing at KanexPro. “We created this switcher with those applications in mind, and it allows integrators and end users to have a solution tailored directly to their need.” Both HD switchers provide four or eight additional audio ports via S/PDIF connectors to support de-embedding from HDMI and expedient firmware upgrade through micro USB ports. The switchers transmit 4K x 2K at 60Hz signal up to 15 meters and a rack-mounting design.
