Metra Home Theater Group, a provider of electronics accessories for over 65 years, will unveil its Ethereal EHDTM EVOLV cable line at CEDIA EXPO 2013 (booth #110).
The Ethereal EHDTM EVOLV cable line, a new series of DPL-certified cables, combine radical design techniques, state-of-the-art silicon and system-specific custom programming.
“Our new EHD EVOLV cables offer a unique combination of superior signal transmission and true custom installation,” said Jessy Crabb, general manager for Metra Home Theater Group. “Our EHD program was created specifically to address the needs of custom installers who face a myriad of challenges when it comes to today’s high speed digital applications. With the EVOLV series, they now have a solution that redefines the concept of ‘application-specific’ products.”
Metra Home Theater Group’s EHD EVOLV cables are designed entirely with custom installation professionals in mind. The cables are made to be programmed for and with each system and once programmed, can only be used within that specific system, on those specific components.
This unique design ensures that each cable is fully optimized for the specific source and sinks within the system, enabling the best possible performance. Should the system require changes, the EHD EVOLV cables can be easily re-programmed by the installer using the EVOLV hand-held programmer.
Powered via a USB cable, the EHD EVOLV cables have specially-built data accelerators that keep both EDID and HDCP operating at remarkable performance levels, unlike conventional cable products.
The cables also offer impressively long cable runs (up to 150’) without requiring installers to integrate baluns or repeaters.
Metra’s entire EHD cable lineup is designed to deliver maximum signal transmission with ease-of-installation. Once programmed via the EHD EVOLV Programmer, the cables can be effortlessly integrated within the system thanks to their design, giving the CI a safe and reliable high performance system.
