OSD Audio has released the OSD-WR800 rock speaker pair, 8-inch wireless rock speakers.

The OSD-WR800 rock speaker pair.
“There are a few models similar to our new 8-inch wireless rock speaker but they’re priced much higher than the WR800,” said Tim Leahy, OSD Audio’s director of North American sales. “Our goal was to create a bigger more accurate sound utilizing the advantages of a wireless connection. This speaker is the ideal combination of performance and value.”
The OSD-WR800 all-weather wireless rock speaker is an easy and effective way to bring sound outdoors without having to run wires directly from the source. Utilizing the 2.4 GHz-2.48 GHz frequency, which is less likely to experience interference from other wireless devices like cordless phones, the WR800 boasts a range of up to 300 feet (unobstructed) and connects to iPods, MP3 players, AV receivers, computers, or other source equipment. The heart of the OSD-WR800 is its 8-inch polypropylene cone woofer with butyl rubber surround.
“Getting good audio in open spaces can be a real challenge,” Leahy said. “We’re fortunate, however, to have a lot of experience in building outdoor audio products. The WR800 is the new flagship in our extensive wireless speaker lineup.”
This system comes with a pair of rock speakers, 2.4 GHz transmitter, AC adapter, AC power supply for the main speaker, remote control with 80ft range (unobstructed), speaker wire to connect the two speakers, and a choice of two audio cables depending on the source you choose. MSRP is $499.95 with a special introductory sale price of $299.00. The WR800 is available in either canyon brown or granite grey.
