Severtson Screens is offering a new pricing model for its Legacy Series fixed-frame projection screen solution, and has added a Bright White Acoustically Transparent (BWAT) screen material for the acclaimed lineup.
Now shipping and made in Severtson’s manufacturing facility in Mesa, AZ, Severtson Screens will feature the updated Legacy Series line during CEDIA Expo 2015, held in Dallas from Oct. 15-17 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, booth #7004.
“Our customers asked for a high-end, acoustically transparent screen solution for the Legacy series and an even more affordable price structure, and we responded,” said Toby Severtson, president and CEO at Severtson Corp.
“Utilizing new state-of-the-art materials designed for applications where a more realistic soundstage is desired, the Legacy’s addition of the BWAT screen allows for the installation of speakers to be placed directly behind the screen surface. With virtually no loss to the audio soundstage along with sharp image quality, its specially designed perforations allow the sound to pass through the screen material smoothly. We have also reduced pricing for this line, making a great projection screen option even more affordable.”
The Legacy Series’ acoustic material is framed on a 30-degree angle to avoid moiré, and its AT surface is washable with mild soap and water, while also being flame retardant and mildew resistant.
“Watching movies at home is supposed to be fun and a great way to bring the family together, much like a trip out to the big cinema does,” Severtson said. “We designed the BWAT Legacy Series to be just that — a way to bring the big screen experience home so that everyone can enjoy both the stunning visuals and unaltered audio as the movies were intended to be seen.”
