VANA Ltd. Introduces the E.A.T. E-Glo S Hybrid Tube Phono Preamplifier to U.S. Market

The New Product Boasts Superior Sound

VANA, Ltd. has announced the arrival of the European Audio Team (E.A.T) E-Glo S hybrid phono preamplifier, leveraging both vacuum tube and advanced solid state technologies to achieve superior performance. The beautifully designed E-Glo S delivers the fullness enthusiasts expect from a tube preamplifier, yet also utilizes solid state circuitry in a hybrid array to achieve speed and immediacy.

The E.A.T. E-Glo S employs 12AX7/ECC83 tubes (twin triode) in the first and second gain stages, achieving higher gain and lower noise by also using two low-noise J-FET transistors. To make adjustments of the loading user friendly for both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridge designs, the E-Glo S features a series switches and LED indicators on the front and top panels avoiding the more difficult chore of opening the unit to access jumpers or recessed controls like many competitive phono preamps.

An advanced outboard power supply serves to eliminate the need for a large transformer mounted internally, reducing noise as well as the overall chassis size of the E-Glo S. Another key feature is a superbly executed subsonic filter that can be activated/deactivated by the user as needed. The subsonic filter improves clarity significantly when any ultra-low frequency noise is present, as is common when playing a warped LP record.

“I fell in love with it within 15 seconds, but it was still the sound that grabbed me above all else,” said audio reviewer Ken Kessler. “Elegant high-end tube phono pre-amplifier with ultra slim design”

The E.A.T. E-Glo S is available now with Macassar wood or Gloss Black side panels.
