URC Launches New Consumer Centric and Dealer Focused Websites

URC has introduced a host of new interactive digital customer communication vehicles including a new consumer-centric ePub, fully remodeled public website, all-new dealer locator with Master Dealer portfolio opportunities.

URC has introduced a host of new interactive digital customer communication vehicles including a new consumer-centric ePub, fully remodeled public website, all-new dealer locator with Master Dealer portfolio opportunities, revitalized industry-oriented monthly newsletter and interactive dealer-only website complete with lively, dynamic tech support forums.

“URC offers the most comprehensive set of digital marketing and easy-to-understand selling tools in the industry,” said Cat Toomey, URC’s director of marketing. “We have active outbound tools, for example our newsletter family; modern consumer tools including our all-new website; and highly sophisticated reseller tools—like our Master Dealer Portfolio program where dealers can display a full gallery of their best installations with images, descriptions, equipment lists and more.”

Some of the improvements are invisible to consumers but are already being well received by URC dealers.

“The newly revitalized Forums in the URC Control Room, our password-protected, dealer-only website, have been incredibly active,” Cat said. “They have become a vital, additional source of Tech Support for our resellers. This has been part of a focused plan for more than a year and is rewarding to see it come to fruition, energizing our dealers and consumers alike.”

Automated Living by URC, the new consumer oriented ePub launched by URC in November, targets customers who want to know more about control and learn “how URC is transforming lives in this wonderful world of home automation.”

One highlight from the first issue is an up-close, personal look at an installation completed on the Costello home in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, by WeeBee Audio Video. Titled “Rustic Revival,” the case study details this successful effort to merge new technology with traditional elements. Automated Living will be published quarterly.

URC’s technically oriented monthly newsletter, Control the Universe, continues on its current schedule and adds several new features for 2014, including deep dives into Integration Guides and other topics of interest to AV installers.
