In our series of #CEDIAShares blogs, we’re talking with exhibitors about the hottest technologies and trends they’re looking to see at CEDIA Expo 2022.

Q&A with Jason Fitzgerald, Blustream U.S. Product Manager.

Why CEDIA Expo 2022?

CEDIA Expo 2022 is our inaugural CEDIA event since announcing our U.S. presence at the end of 2020. We’re excited to be part of the biggest residential tech show in the industry and share the power of Blustream AV distribution with integrators.

What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?

One trend we think will be making a lot of waves is video distribution over the network. The demand for a sophisticated home network that can handle all manner of audio and video signals is becoming much more commonplace due to the changes in media consumption and the professionalization of work-from-home.

What will you focus on at the show?

This is our first CEDIA, so we’re excited to meet with integrators and show them our broad catalog of award-winning AV distribution solutions that have been a hit worldwide and are now available in the U.S. Our product portfolio covers the breadth of AV distribution needs, and we are showcasing demonstrations in five key categories: Video over IP, Extension, Audio, Collaboration, and Matrixes. One example is our new PLA88CS Platinum Matrix. This 4K HDMI 2.0 8×8 matrix delivers advanced audio and video distribution features while simplifying the setup. What sets it apart from other matrices on the market offering Dolby and DTS downmixing is its ability to decode and manage all high bit-rate formats, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
