In our series of #CEDIAShares blogs, we’re talking with exhibitors about the hottest technologies and trends they’re looking to see at CEDIA Expo 2024.

Q&A with Mark Corbin, president at Vanco.

Why exhibit at CEDIA Expo 2024?

CEDIA Expo is the premiere opportunity for us to connect directly with residential integrators and dealers. Maintaining those ties is incredibly important to us. We’ve served this industry for over 60 years, and have been repeatedly awarded for our product innovations, customer service, supply chain management, and warranty programs. Meeting with our customers to better understand their needs and concerns is core to who we are — plus we have several new components we think Expo attendees will be very excited about.

What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?

As a brand that has always served both the professional and residential AV industries, Vanco has been excited to see the growing trend of “resimercial” integration. There is a lot of overlap between disciplines, with pro-quality devices increasingly deployed in residential contexts and consumer-level ease-of-use and luxury finishes being brought to the commercial world. Most of our catalog is designed to integrate seamlessly into residential or commercial systems; “resimercial” integrators will be pleasantly surprised to discover what percentage of their projects can be spec’d from the Vanco catalog alone.

What will you focus on at the show?

We have three new infrastructure components to show off: a USB-C extender that supports up to four peripherals, with a max length of 328 feet; a digital audio extender that can carry eARC/ARC signals up to 328 feet, or S/PDIF signals up to 626 feet, over a single Cat5e/6 cable; and a new line of ultra-thin certified HDMI 8K cables with a mere 34 AWG.

On top of that, we’ll also be showcasing the legendary Beale Street Audio line, featuring the patented Sonic Vortex speakers that deliver incredible low-end performance while also preventing any sound bleed-through to adjacent spaces. We have Beale Street architectural speakers for commercial and residential systems; pendant speakers for inside and outside; and a versatile line of 2- and 4-channel amplifiers with a built-in DSP to power any project.
