AVAD Helps Dealers Expand into Security

AVAD is offering new products for security systems and security monitoring services through distribution agreements with DSC and COPS Monitoring. AVAD will present CEDIA EXPO 2009 attendees with an opportunity to learn more about DSC, COPS Monitoring and more as part of its “One Call Does it All” demo in booth 1765.

Beyond simply serving as a link between installers and security products and services, AVAD will offer dealers assistance in expanding into the market by providing training and support on how to install, market and sell security to their clients.

“Our dealers look to AVAD to help them identify and enter into new markets and profit centers,” AVAD vice president and general manager, Jim Annes, says. “AVAD has a long-standing reputation with our dealers, and within the custom electronics industry, as a supplier truly focused on the needs of the custom installer which is why we are expanding our product offering to include security. With the addition of product offerings from DSC and COPS Monitoring, AVAD dealers can depend on AVAD to serve as its ‘one-stop’ shop for virtually any project—including residential, commercial and security.”

The DSC products stocked by AVAD include complete security systems, wireless control panels, and wireless remotes and keypads, motion detectors and sirens.

Additionally, AVAD’s lineup of security products from DSC adds yet another segment of products to its popular Integration Partners program. The AVAD Integration Partners program creates complete solutions among the company’s roster of residential, commercial and security technology manufacturers by having their respective engineering departments work together to provide a robust feature set with seamless interoperability.

Leveraging its national buying power to negotiate profitable monitoring rates, AVAD will offer dealers COPS Monitoring services, allowing them to maximize on opportunities for security installations. COPS Monitoring offers a number of services including a dedicated dealer support team, direct billing, and a secure Internet-based dealer access program.
