Electronic Lane, the Dallas-based distributor of brands such as URC, KEF, Sonance, and Yamaha, has hired long-time industry professional Charles Kamanes.
“Charles has a stellar track record joining us from AVAD, and we are very pleased that he is on our team,” said Electronic Lane president Woody Taylor. “We offer the training and design assistance for the custom integrator to maximize their sales and I know Charles will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow our business.”
Kamanes will assist Electronic Lane’s service its customer base in Texas, Oklahoma, Louiiana, and Arkansas, offering product lines in AV, control, lighting control, whole-house distribution systems, cameras, DVRs, automated shades, outdoor audio systems, and landscape lighting.
“I am excited to be joining The Electronic Lane Dallas operation,” Kamanes said. “I bring years of sales and custom sales experience, as I came from being branch manager of the Dallas AVAD where I worked for 10 years.”
Early in his career Kamanes worked for Neiman Marcus where he said he learned “the real meaning” of customer service and support. “Their sales training is some of the best in the world,” he said. “This business is all about developing a good team to generate the kind of loyalty you need to have in business. Lives and jobs change, but the great relationships you have built over your lifetime will follow you throughout your career.”
