Anaheim, CA — Home Entertainment Source (HES), the audio-video specialty division of Brand Source, recently returned from high-level meetings in Korea with senior executives at LG and Samsung. Top priority for this trip included an opportunity for the group to present an overview of their divisional structure and highly successful Expert Warehouse solution to each manufacturer.
With the current state of the economy and some national accounts struggling, the group is positioning itself to become the best national alternative to “big box” stores.
“The continued success of our group members requires that they have access to step-up products,” stated Jim Ristow, executive vice president of HES. “Equally important is a distribution and sales strategy that makes sense for our members. [Our] meetings allowed us to show each manufacturer a clear channel strategy for their premium goods.”
HES is a not-for-profit organization with approximately 500 members. It provides specialized pricing, merchandising allowances, and rebate programs to the CE independent specialist, while using the size and power of Brand Source to provide a multitude of general business services. With annual sales exceeding $1.8 billion, HES ranks as one of the largest buying groups in the CE industry.
