PMA/PGW Adds Lighting Seminars to Dealer Event

Two new sessions of TLC-IV dealer education program are scheduled for July 9-10.

Lutz, FL — Perpetual Marketing Associates/PGW Distribution (PMA/ PGW), a Florida-based specialty sales representative and distribution company, has scheduled new sessions of its TLC-IV dealer education program for July 9-10 at its facility in Lutz, Florida (outside of Tampa). The theme for these new sessions is Lighting – A Bright Idea and will feature a keynote presentation on lighting design techniques by lighting design expert Lee Freeman of Lee Freeman Lighting.

More than five years ago, PMA/PGW created a new concept in dealer education called Travel, Learn, and Communicate or TLC. Designed to provide dealers, installers, and integrators with a more immersive educational experience that combines interactive training techniques with relationship-building exercises and events -there really is no other experience quite like a TLC training session.

Keynoter Lee Freeman, of Lee Freeman Lighting, runs a Boca Raton, Florida-based architectural lighting design firm specializing in commercial and residential lighting design. Freeman has extensive experience in the lighting field and has taught seminars on topics such as Custom Lighting Fixture Design, Lighting for Humans, Light and Color, Art and Sculpture Illumination, and more throughout the United States.

Freeman also is a former adjunct professor of lighting design at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and past president, vice-president, and education director of the Illuminating Engineers Society of North America (South Florida Chapter). Freeman also holds a patent on a unique Dome Light indirect lighting fixture he co-designed.

Jaime Wood, president of PMA/PGW, commented on the July TLCs by saying, Lee Freeman understands that effective lighting design is more than just running wires and connecting fixtures and dimmers. He is prepared to teach PMA/PGW dealers and installers the finer points of creating an effective lighting design that will delight their clients for many years to come.

The July agenda will also include informative technology and product presentations from top executives with manufacturers including Leviton, Xantech, Jamo, and PSB. Representatives will also be on hand to demonstrate the all-new NAD AV control system.

Seating is limited and demand is expected to be high for these sessions. Dealers should reserve their space by calling Denise Lavendusky at 800.940.9384 or log on to www.pgwdistribution.com/calendar.aspx to register for this event.
