URC also has promoted former western technical training manager Robert Durbin to a new role as systems integration engineer for URC’s commercial division, where he will work closely with Finnegan.

Finnegan comes to URC with experience both as an integrator and on the manufacturing side. He entered the industry in a sales role in 1986. From 1993 to 2006, Finnegan owned a well-established integration firm that generated approximately $3 million in annual revenues from both commercial and residential installations. In 2006, he joined AMX as a direct factory sales rep for its central region then was promoted to regional sales manager for AMX’s northeast region in 2009.

“Jamie brings to URC a wealth of experience on both the dealer and manufacturing sides,” Cole said. “His knowledge, talent, and expertise will dramatically enhance URC’s relationship-building efforts and value proposition in the commercial integration market.”

“I owe my success on the manufacturing side to my success as a dealer,” Finnegan said. “I truly understand the difficulties and struggles dealers experience on a daily basis. I’ll bring a dealer advocacy approach to my job that wouldn’t exist if I spent my whole career as a factory guy. I’ve been in the trenches, and I’ve earned my stripes. I’ll be a very supportive listener for dealers, and drive that through on the manufacturing side so we can deliver the products, service and support they need.”

URC will be on hand at InfoComm 2010 this week in booth C5586 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where it will show its Network Keypad Solution and other products.
