Msolutions’ HDBaseT Spec. 2.0 Tester Now Available

The MS-TestPro Tester Validates Retransmission Capabilities and a Rechargeable Battery Pack

Msolutions utilized the opening of the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show in Amsterdam last week as a backdrop for the announcement of two major enhancements to their MS-TestPro HDBaseT tester. The MS-TestPro is now capable of validating the retransmission capabilities that are inherent to HDBaseT Spec. 2.0 systems.

In addition, MSolutions introduced a new rechargeable battery pack for the MS-TestPro that provides many hours of wireless, continuous use with each charge, allowing installers to work anywhere and everywhere without the necessity of a physical power connection.

Spec. 2.0 is the most recent and technically advanced profile for HDBaseT systems. Whereas HDBaseT 1.0 addresses only the physical and link layers of HDBaseT switching, Spec. 2.0 adds networking, switching, and control-point capabilities. Among other enhancements, it improves performance margin and optimizes existing infrastructures and bandwidth, according to the company.

“At MSolutions we see ourselves as partners with our dedicated customers,” said Eliran Toren, CEO and co-founder of MSolutions. “As such, we always have an open ear to their needs and concerns. Both of the new improvements in the MS-TestPro are a direct result of that partnership.”

“As experts in HDBaseT since the standard was first introduced in 2010, we have set a goal of always being at the technological forefront of HDBaseT development,” said Ariel Marcus, CTO and co-founder of MSolutions, which is based in Israel. “The new Spec. 2.0 module, now available for use with the MS-TestPro, enables our users to test and certify all of the added functions and capabilities of HDBaseT Spec. 2.0 systems with the same unsurpassed level of quality and reliability that the MS-TestPro is known for among HDBaseT 1.0 installers and integrators.”
