Russound has released a software update that brings a host of in-demand features to several of its most popular products.

Russound has released a software update that brings a host of in-demand features to several of its most popular products.

The Release 7 software update allows installers to give their Russound customers a welcome expansion of services without any cost to the dealer. Products enhanced by the Release 7 upgrade include the DMS-3.1 Digital Media Streamer, TS3 Color Touchscreen, MCA-C3/C5 Multizone Controller Amplifier, MDK-C5/C6 Multiline Display Keypad, and the My Russound App MRA-3.

“With Release 7, we’re staying true to our promise to continually make the best even better,” said Charlie Porritt, CEO of Russound. “Industry pros can now offer their clients several important new features and benefits that offer a demonstrable difference that end-users will love.”

Pandora and TuneIn have been introduced into the Russound ecosystem, bringing two of the most recognizable music streaming services and their myriad stations to new and existing installations. Also, consumers will now be able to operate their AirPlay device from any C-Series user interface option, with complete metadata displayed on the control.

Owners of the DMS-3.1 Digital Media Streamer will find it is now compatible with other control systems. And, with Release 7, professionals will be able to perform keypad updates over IP; the savings in time alone will be a boon to installers and end-users alike.

Release 7 is now available.
