Gefen’s New DisplayPort Solutions

Gefen’s new DisplayPort KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switcher is designed to offer a simple and stable method of accessing any two computers from the same display, using the same USB keyboard/mouse control.

By enabling dual computer access without networking, users can save on multiple computer displays while doubling information accessibility. Switching between computers is controlled by the included IR remote or front-panel selector. Support for high definition video resolutions and hi-speed USB 2.0 peripherals makes it suited for today’s computer systems.

Gefen’s DVI to Mini-DisplayPort adapter is designed for computer users who wish to use their standard DVI port to connect a new flat panel display using mini-DisplayPort connectivity, such as the 24-inch Apple Cinema Display. The adapter supports high-definition resolutions up to 1080p or 1920×1200 and comes packaged in a small, flexible enclosure for easy installation. The DVI to Mini-DisplayPort Adapter can be used to connect a Cinema Display or to add a second display for working in mirrored mode to extend the desktop for increased productivity.

The company’s new DisplayPort Extreme cable comes in a 50-foot length capped on both ends with DisplayPort connectivity. Users are able to simply connect one end to their computer and the other end to their display, located up to 50 feet away. Both audio and video signals are transmitted over the single cable with optimum signal clarity and resolution. DisplayPort connection cables are also available in lengths of 6, 10, and 15 feet.
