Q&A with Richard Charschan, president, AcousticSmart, and creator, Home Theaterology.
Why exhibit at CEDIA Expo/CIX 2025?
All of our top dealers come to see us at CEDIA Expo and it’s a great way to visit with everyone in one shot. This includes integrators that we haven’t had a chance to see in a while. This year we are again promoting our book HomeTheaterology, which supports and evangelizes home cinema inspiration. Another key point is using the profits of the book to go toward educating designers and architects around the country that may be creating more home theater specifications.
What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
Seeing new updates on our favorite home theater products, visiting our favorite brands on the show floor, and, of course, reuniting with our industry friends face to face.
What will you focus on at the show?
New projectors, new screens, and home theater processors that will help take our home cinema rooms to the next level. In particular, I’m really excited about seeing the new Barco projectors and the newly updated StormAudio processor chips. We will also continue to highlight Home Theaterology and the impact it has made since last year’s CEDIA Expo.
