Q&A with Chris Lehnen, business development manager – AV, Luminii.
Why exhibit at CEDIA Expo/CIX 2025?
CEDIA Expo is the preeminent event of the year for the CI industry. It’s where the entire industry comes together each year to celebrate our success and reset for the future. While being well established in the commercial world, Luminii is still in growth mode in the Integrator channel. Exhibiting at Expo shows our commitment to integrators and allows them to evaluate our fixtures first-hand.
What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
The continued growth of light fixtures. The percentage of integrators selling fixtures is still relatively low. We will continue to see growth in the category for another few years at minimum. Lights and shades improve our relationships with architects and designers, which is great for business. Our work makes their work look better. It’s through these improved partnerships that we will be brought into projects earlier, increasing our opportunity to design cool systems.
What will you focus on at the show?
We will be launching our new online Configuration Tool and Design Guides at Expo. Configuring and quoting linear fixtures is difficult and time consuming — especially for those new to the category. We’ve simplified the process and put the Integrator in the driver’s seat, where they can create quotes on their timeline. Our new tools are a direct answer to feedback we’ve received over the past few years. We know that these tools will be a game-changer for integrators, no matter where they are on their Lighting journey.
