ActiveLight and PWS Combine

ActiveLight and Projector Wholesale Supply have combined products and services, and both will now operate under the ActiveLight brand.

Seattle, WA–ActiveLight Inc., the value-added distributor of advanced displays and dynamic signage solutions, and Projector Wholesale Supply (PWS), the specialty distributor of professional projection solutions, have combined products and services, and both will now operate under the ActiveLight brand.

“Combining the efforts of PWS and ActiveLight is simply a smart business move for both companies, enabling us to more effectively respond to the increasing demand for integrated solutions from a range of industries,” said Herb Myers, CEO of both ActiveLight Inc. and Projector Wholesale Supply. “With expert knowledge of equipment and applications for both projectors and flat-panel displays integrated into one company, ActiveLight can offer highly effective solutions for visual displays that will be unmatched in the industry.”

According to the company, ActiveLight and PWS customers will experience no change in service and will enjoy an expansion of product options, expertise and solutions as a result of the consolidation. Employees of both companies will be retained in existing or similar roles within the new operating structure. Both companies are based in Poulsbo, Washington, near Seattle, and operate as part of the Powder Hill Group.

Brad Gleeson will continue to operate as president of ActiveLight, while Jill Miller, former president of PWS will now work directly with Gleeson and the executive team as executive vice president.

Projected annual growth rates for digital signage technology deployment ranges from 14 to 47 percent (depending on the application) over the next five years according to a 2004 study by Weinstock Media Analysis.
