
TIG Global PR has announced the appointment of Katharine “Kat” Wheeler as partner and strategic director, marking a milestone in the agency’s continued expansion within the AV, design-build, and consumer technology markets. Wheeler brings two decades of experience leading global marketing communications, integrated brand programs, and strategic initiatives for some of the industry’s most influential companies.
In her new role as partner and strategic director, Wheeler will serve as a senior leader overseeing client strategy, agency operations, talent development, and business growth. She will guide strategic communications planning, elevate client service and account leadership, strengthen editorial and media relations programs, and support new business initiatives while helping expand the agency’s internal structure, processes, and training. Her addition enhances the leadership team alongside partners Carol Campbell, Douglas Weinstein, Eric Schwartz, and Veronica Esbona, and reinforces TIG Global PR’s commitment to delivering best-in-class integrated marketing communications across its rapidly growing client base.

Wheeler brings a strong, multi-disciplinary background spanning sales leadership, product marketing, and integrated communications across the residential AV, pro AV, collaboration, and technology integration sectors. Most recently, she served as an account executive at One Firefly, where she partnered with integrators to accelerate growth through digital marketing, branding, and strategic storytelling. She also contributed thought leadership to leading AV publications, was featured on the Automation Unplugged podcast, and earned multiple AI and generative-AI certifications to advance clients’ digital strategy.
Prior to One Firefly, Wheeler was product marketing manager at Mersive Technologies, shaping go-to-market strategy and crafting narrative-driven content that increased adoption in the competitive collaboration space. Earlier roles at Snap One, Sapphire Marketing, Dorrance Audio Marketing, and other AV manufacturers and rep firms further established her leadership in channel development, territory management, and strategic communications. Managing more than $22 million in annual sales and mentoring multiple regional teams, she brings a rare combination of commercial insight, marketing expertise, and industry perspective, making her a uniquely impactful strategic leader for TIG Global PR. In addition to her work in the AV industry, Wheeler is also the author of two tech-mystery novels, further strengthening her expertise in narrative craft and audience engagement.
